The New Nigeria’s People’s Party (NNPP), has adopted voters engagement in their policy formulation to defeat People’s Demographic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC), in the next election.

The New Nigeria’s People’s Party (NNPP), on Wednesday with the support of International Republican Institute (IRI), engaged with voters from 7 local governments including Dass, Tafawa Balewa, Bogoru, Toro, Bauchi, Alkeleri, and Kirfi of Bauchi state.

Addressing their supporters in Bauchi, the spokesman of the party, Sabiu Zaranda said his party is better positioned to deliver the dividends of democracy to the electorate, adding that his party is deviating from the usual “copy and paste” method of preparing manifestos of political parties which does not reflect the yearnings and aspiration of the people.

“We have decided to deviate from the copy and paste method of preparing manifestos, which many political have been practicing for years.

“It’s not surprising therefore why they misrepresent the people once get elected. We as a responsible political party have come to you so that we can hear you and include your interests in our policy formulation.” Zaranda noted.

Some of the points raised by the electorate at the meeting include transparency, religious tolerance, citizens participation in decision-making process, youths and women empowerment amongst many others.
