
Sen. Buruji Kashamu

ABEOKUTA—Senator Buruji Kashamu, PDP Ogun East, has described as laughable the allegations levelled against him by members of the rival faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ogun State.
PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus and members of the National Working Committee, NWC, had held a meeting with a faction of PDP loyal to a member of House of Repreentatives,Oladipupo Adebutu in the state and promised to take a decision on their allegations about Kashamu, this week.
Reacting to the development, Media aide to the senator, Mr. Austin Oniyokor said Kashamu believes in the integrity of members of the NWC and urges them to follow the rule of law as promised by the national chairman.
Oniyokor said: “I have gone through the video clip of the section that was done in honour of our National Chairman, Prince Uche secondus, there was nowhere he said he will take action against Senator Kashamu. The allegations against him are laughable. It is laughable that anybody in his right senses will make such allegations.
“This is the man they said could not win an election, he contested and won. Now, they are talking about him not willing to win elections and alleged that he is working for the opposition. The man has remained with the same party that he joined since he began partisan politics. Those who are making this allegation have jumped ship from one party to the other…
“Our chairman has said that PDP is a rebranded party that will follow the rule of law. He also said the day of impunity is gone. How can the excos produced by the congress in 2015 sanctioned by INEC and affirmed by two judgements of Federal High Court and two judgements of the court of appeal in Lagos be discarded?
“If anybody is not satisfied with the judgements of the Federal High Courts and Court of Appeal in Lagos, the person should go t
