The Nigerian Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research has carried out a bid process for various projects in the institute.
Speaking during the bidding process, which took place at the institute’s Victoria Island office in Lagos, the Chief Procurement Officer, Mrs Agnes Oladipo, stressed that due process was followed and the session was made public in compliance with the directive of the Public Procurement Act.
The process, which started with a newspaper advert calling on contractors to bid for the various projects awaiting execution in the institute, saw 77 contractors putting in applications and 74 returning their bids.
The process commenced with a technical bid on Monday, aimed at ascertaining the technical competence of the contractors.
Oladipo said the financial bid session would commence in two weeks involving contractors whose bids were selected at the technical bid stage.
