Old Mutual says it has continued its initiative of teaching financial education through its financial education workshop as part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
The firm said in a statement that with greater financial knowledge, individuals would be better equipped to make sound financial decisions that would impact positively on their lives.
“As a responsible business, Old Mutual is committed to affecting its communities positively and enabling positive future for its stakeholders by offering free financial education to staff of organisations and members of social groups,” it stated.
The company said that it had so far trained over 15,000 individuals in financial education.
“With plans to reach over 10,000 people in 2018, the company continues to partner various organisations both in the public and private sectors and across the country with positive feedback and results,” it stated.
