The vice president, who was represented by the Director General, Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, Mr. Folorunsho Coker, described the establishment of Hi-Impact TV station within the Amusement Park and resort owned by the same group as unique, timely and welcome.
He added, “The location is serene, accessible, proximate to Lagos, the nation’s economic capital, and depicts the richness of the African heritage.
“I’m told the channel will focus largely on family entertainment and education. This, I hope, will make meaningful impact on the viewing public with content that uplifts the public and makes society better.”
The Managing Director of Solution Media & Infotech, owners of Hi-Impact TV, Prince Adeyeloye Lipede, said the new TV station decided to go on full HD because of the advantage of clearer vision which will have a positive impact on viewers and advertisers.
“We have lined up quality programmes that will make quality time spent sitting behind screen worthwhile. We have employed professional teachers to take various subjects that usually pose problems to students writing both the senior and junior WASSCE papers as well as those preparing to write the UTME in addition to many quality and entertaining programmes,” Lipede said.
In her remark, the General Manager of the television station, Miss. Victoria Odimba, said the station could be accessed via the free-to-air receiver on Intelsat 20 with the orbit being 68.5 East.
