Osun 2018: I “ll give utmost priority to women empowerment, youth development ―Oyetola

OyetolaThe governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the September 22 gubernatorial poll in Osun Mr Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola on Friday said he would give utmost priority to women empowerment and youth development if elected as the governor of the state.
Describing the womenfolk and youths as critical factors that could promote the social and economic growth of any society, he assured that far-reaching policies and programmes, capable of creating enabling environment for their individual capacity development would be implemented by his administration.
These were contained in a press statement signed by one of the media aides of Oyetola, Mrs Dayo Fasola, which was forwarded to Nigerian Tribune in Osogbo.
Oyetola was quoted to have made these remarks at his Ileri Oluwa campaign office in Osogbo, the state capital, while receiving campaign materials including 20,000 posters, 20 billboards from the deputy national youth leader of the APC, Hon Afeez Bolaji Repete.
According to the statement, I am always humbled by displays of support such as this and particularly the buy into my aspiration to keep improving upon the lots of our citizenry. My administration by God’s grace would be a government of youths with a very keen interest in women empowerment and child development”.
Earlier, Repete maintained that the APC had raised the bar of governance Nigeria, most especially in Osun State with the implementation of capital projects such as effective road networks and provision of basic infrastructures, thereby making life more comfortable for the citizenry.
He stated, “governance is no longer business as usual, the Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s administration has shown that so much can be acquired with so little and within the span of eight years. So we are here to contribute our own quota in however little way we can. Osun then is not what Osun is today. There have been huge tremendous achievements. It is these giants strides by Aregbesola’s led administration that gave us the courage and confidence”.
 “That is why I am happy to support the campaign organisation of his Chief of staff for the entire period Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola whose pristine performance has more than inspired us with 20,000 posters, 20 Billboards. Radio jingles  from now till September 22 and also branding of over 10 buses as we countdown to the elections”, Repete remarked
