Voters in Osun State have called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to extend the ongoing continuous Voters Registration (CVR) in the state.
The Osun state government had declared Monday work-free day to allow all formal and informal workers to participate in the exercise which commenced on Wednesday, April 11 and ended Monday, April 16th, 2018.
But the National Commissioner in charge of Osun, Ekiti and Oyo states, Solomon Soyebi had earlier ruled out the possibility of extending the ongoing data capturing in the CVR exercise after it expires in all states where it is currently ongoing.
Some of those who spoke to Channels Television complained that one capturing machine at each centre is not enough to cater for the crowd that trooped out for the exercise.
They urge INEC to reconsider its stance so as not to disenfranchise the eligible voters from exercising their rights.
