Obiano, who spoke during a ceremony to mark the first year anniversary of his administration’s second term in office, said every government functionary must be on the same page to continue at the pace of development going on in all parts of the state.

He said his administration had been able to change the fortunes of the state for the better than he met it within his five years in office and urged all and sundry to join hands with his government to make Anambra great.

According to him, the present administration in the state had attracted international recognitions for the developmental strides he had put in place, adding that such recognitions were enough encouragement to do more.

He said: “The Forbes Magazine in the USA recently recommended the state government’s community choose your project initiative as a model for the development of Africa. This is very encouraging especially considering the impact the initiative had made on the wellbeing of the people in all the communities.

“I assure you that I will remain focused and will therefore not hesitate to change anybody who is underperforming in my cabinet”.

He  identified the support from the members of the State House Assembly and the achievements recorded in all sectors of the state economy as part of his major successes in the past five years, noting that state’s Gross Domestic Product, GDP, had increased from N3 trillion to N4.2 trillion in the last five years.

While pledging to do more for posterity, Obiano said he would expand the state economic performance in the next three years and commended Anambra people for supporting the state government, irrespective of political affiliations and inclinations.
