United Nations Deputy Secretary General, Amina Mohammed on Thursday, July 20, met with some of the rescued Chibok girls in Abuja.
The meeting was aimed at inspiring women and some of the girls cut up in conflict related areas in Nigeria. Tweeting on her meeting with the girls, Mohammed said: “Women & girls are not only survivors but also crisis prevention agents. Inspiring chat with women leaders & conflict affected girls #DSGinNG.”
Until her appointment as United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, she was Nigeria’s Minister of Environment.
