The ARX Maritime said a gang of Pirates attacked a sea vessel near Bonny Island in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Tuesday.
The incident which occurred round 30 nautical miles South West of Bonny Island in the state is still undergoing investigation.
This is coming few days after gunmen abducted eleven crew members of a ship under a German flag, Pomerenia Sky ship, off the Nigerian coast.
“Pirates came aboard and according to arrangements made by the radio station – they abducted part of the crew, including 8 Poles, 2 Filipinos and 1 Ukrainian,” Poland Radio station, Radio RMF FM, reported.
“Seafarers to exercise caution after pirates attacked a vessel near Bonny Island,” ARX said in a message posted on its website.
