Briefing newsmen Tuesday in Sokoto, Chairman of the group, Ambassador Mustapha Ibrahim called on youths  to ignore any statement from any quarter that could hamper the peaceful conduct of the governorship and House of Assembly election.

His words:”We have called this press conference urgently, to draw the attention of the world, particularly the security agencies, to a very unfortunate and desperate declaration by the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party , PDP,  in Sokoto State, where he called on members of his party to “give whatever it takes to secure their votes, on March 9, 2019”

“We consider this very unfortunate statement, not just a threat to the peaceful coexistence of our people, but a total declaration of war, in our state, by these desperate politicians.

“Let it be noted that, the PDP Chairman is being  used to instigate breach of peace and create crisis that may result in blood letting in various parts of the state.

“It is  in the light of these inciting utterances by Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma , that we demand that the state Police Command,   should within the next 24 hours, order the arrest and commence immediate prosecution of the PDP Chairman .

“While urging the good people of Sokoto State,  particularly the youths to ignore this irresponsible call for anarchy in our state. We call on all good spirited Nigerians to rise in condemnation of the actions and utterances of these misguided desperate politicians, who are being used to instigate violence,  that portends grave danger to national cohesion and our hard earned democracy.

“Finally, we call on the people of Sokoto State to come out en masse and exercise their rights on Saturday, without any fear, as we hope and believe that,  the security agencies will urgently do the needful, to protect the lives and property of the citizens.”
