Current League champions, Enugu Rangers, left the relegation zone of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after recording a 2-0 victory over MFM FC on Thursday.
The game played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu was decided over two days as it was halted at the halfway stage on Wednesday after heavy rain rendered the playing surface unplayable.
Chiamaka Madu had put Rangers in front on Wednesday before rains poured like never before to render the pitch unplayable.
Rangers began play on Thursday on a good note and won a penalty shortly after the restart.
Ifeanyi George dispatched the penalty effortlessly to hand the hosts a two-goal win.
Rangers thus moved up four places on the log and now occupy 14th place with 39 points from 30 matches.
Meanwhile, the Flying Antelopes will attempt to consolidate on their effort of rigging out of relegation zone as they confront ABS of Ilorin tomorrow.
No doubt, the match is going to be tough considering the fact that Rangers are condemned to win. A lose no doubt will further put them on reelation zone.
