The Federal Road Safety Corps is seeking to partner individuals and corporate organisations that are interested in working with the group.
Speaking at the launch of the Matiol Driving Services in Lagos, the State Sector Commander, FRSC, Mr. Hyginus Omeje, who was represented by an Assistant Corps Commandant, Mrs. Gloria Danfulani, stated that the organisation was also open to advice and constructive criticisms that could help reduce the rate of accidents and save lives.
Omeje, while giving tips on how to avoid road accidents, emphasised the need for road users to pay attention to road hazards and take cautious measures while driving.
He urged all drivers to make safety a top priority always when plying the road.
“While the FRSC continues to play its role of ensuring safety on all Nigerian roads, all drivers must also cooperate with the body with a view to reducing the number of avoidable accidents on our roads,” Omeje stated.
The Area Commander, Alimosho Command of the Lagos State Vehicle Inspection Service, Hodeve Akojenu, charged all drivers to always ensure their vehicles were in good working condition before hitting the road.
He stated that most road accidents occurred as result carelessness on the part of the drivers in the maintenance of their vehicles, and ignoring mechanical faults.
