ABAKALIKI-THERE seems to be an irreconcilable difference over the position of the All Progressives Congress, APC,  Ebonyi State chapter, concerning the nomination of Senator Ken Nnamani as the South-East leader of the party.

Recall that the acting chairman of the party, Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze, had disassociated himself from the nomination, describing it as a huge joke.

However, in a statement in Abakaliki, factional chairman of APC in the state, Mr Ben Nwaobasi, said the party was not in support of Pastor Eze’s views on Senator Ken Nnamani.

He noted that Eze was not authorized to speak on behalf of the party and any statement carelessly made by him cannot stand the test of time and should be regarded as a side talk.

Nwaobasi rebuked the acting chairman for displaying political hooliganism and desperation to the extent of making such comments without first of all getting clearance or permission from him or state working committee.

Nwaobasi urged Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and Senator Ken Nnamani, whose names were mentioned to disregard the publication as it is not coming from the right source.

The factional chairman further called on  all APC members and supporters across the country to discountenance the position of Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze in matters affecting APC in the South-East zone.
