Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara state has refused to accept the election result for the Kwara Central senatorial district as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The party agent for the Kwara Central district, Hin. Isiaka Magaji, refused to append his signature on the election result for Kwara central senatorial district, citing electoral malpractices.
Speaking when representatives of political parties were called out to append their signatures on the final result, Hon. Magaji said that reports from PDP party agents in each of four LGAs of Kwara Central revealed that there was massive fraud in the election.
“The report that I got from our agents in the four local government areas that made up Kwara central senatorial district said there was massive electoral fraud in some polling units, especially in Ilorin West local government area”, he said.

The PDP agent later presented a protest letter to the returning officer for the election, Prof. Olawale Olatubosun.
Olatubosun, however, refused to accept the letter from Magaji, saying” I lack jurisdiction to receive such letter.”
However, the election result was signed by other party agents like that of the APC, LP and AAP.
The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki was the PDP candidate for Kwara central senatorial district in last Saturday’s election.
