The Executive Vice President, Ghana-Nigeria Unilever, Yaw Nsarkoh, will be leading talks at the forthcoming Marketing Edge’s national marketing summit scheduled to hold in Lagos in July.

A statement from Marketing Edge indicated that Nsarkoh would be the guest speaker at the annual event.

It added that the Unilever boss’ speech would centre on the theme of the summit, ‘Marketing Paradigms in the Age of Digitalisation’.

Other speakers at the event, according to the statement, are Professor of Strategic Management at Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, Prof. Chris Ogbechie, the Group Chief Executive Officer, Media Fuse Dentsu Aegis Network, Emeka Okeke, and the CEO, Insight Publicis, Feyi Olubodun.

It listed additional speakers as the Global Head Marketing and Corporate Communications at FBN Holdings, Folake Ani-Mumuney; the CEO X3M Ideas, Steve Babaeko; and Debola Williams of Red Media, among others.

The Publisher/CEO, Marketing Edge, Mr. John Ajayi, was quoted as saying that the decision to select Nsarkoh as the guest speaker for this year’s event was very strategic and not unconnected with his deep insights on the African markets and contemporary market challenges in emerging markets.

“Besides, he has shown exemplary leadership in all the positions he has occupied in his chequered career. He has demonstrated these skills in his current duty post, having been able to oversee a period of consistent growth for Unilever at a period of economic recession and declining consumers’ purchasing power. Under his watch, Unilever Nigeria has been rated as the fastest growing operation in the Unilever world, which covers about 200 countries,” he said.
