
As Ohakim alleges INEC officials selling appointment letters

The Imo state governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hope Uzodinma, has delivered his Oru East local government area to the presidential candidate of his party, APC, President Muhammadu Buhari.

The results were announced at the Imo state Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, office along Portharcourt road in Owerri, on Sunday by the LGA, collation officer for the presidential election, Justice Ogbe and Franklyn Okorie.
According to Ogbe, APGA, got (403) PDP (6,407) AA (56) and APC pulled (10,383) to defeat the other political parties in Oru East.
As at the time of filling this report, other local government areas which the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate won, were Oguta APGA (76) PDP (2,996) APC (2,296)
Isu PDP (8,673) APGA (240) APC (6,487)
Oru East APC (10,383) PDP (6,407) APGA (403)
Nwangele APGA (352) APC (4,233) PDP (7,803) and Ezinihitte APGA (284) PDP (21,605) APC (3,185).

This as the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, AA, Uche Nwosu, has got victory for Buhari in his Eziama Obire Unit 4 with 711 votes to floor Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.
This as the Imo state candidate of the Accord Party, AP, Ikedi Ohakim, has raised an alarm that some of the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, have sold their appointments letters.
Ohakim, a former governor of Imo state, spoke to newsmen at his Osu Owerri Ward 1, Isiala Mbano local government area, at about 1:15pm, concerning the non availability of election materials as well as INEC officials.
He claimed that, “Absolutely nothing, you can see the voters waiting for materials. I have called the E. O and he said he is coming. I will file my reports by the time they refuse to come.
“I am worried that so many things are going wrong some returning officers have started selling their appointments letters. INEC must investigate this.
“INEC, must be very careful despite they asked for extension. You can see No materials, no officials but we have voters who eagerly waiting to cast their votes.”
