ABUJA—-PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The delegation of the CAN leadership numbering about 30 were led by the association’s president, Dr. Samson Olasupo Ayokunle.
The meeting started by 11:02am with the arrival of President Buhari to the council chamber of the State House.
Also in attendance are the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and some ministers.
The meeting is being held behind closed doors and is the first meeting the Christian body will be having with the President after the February 23 Presidential election where President Buhari was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Though the agenda was not made public, the CAN is expected to use the opportunity to congratulate the President for his victory at the poll and also make some demands.
