remarry

remarry, AbiaraRETIRED General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church (worldwide), and head of Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Itura, Prophet Samuel Abiara, has described as insulting to the military, the recent calls in certain quarters for Nigerians to defend themselves.

He stated this at the thanksgiving service for his retirement as CAC general evangelist, and his recent marriage to Lady Evangelist Grace, held at CAC, Agbala Itura headquarters, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Sunday.

Speaking with newsmen after the service, Abiara, who expressed sadness at the state of insecurity, commended the military and other security operatives for their efforts.

He noted, however, that “It’s an insult to the military to ask people to defend themselves, especially as many ordinary Nigerians don’t even own guns or have police escorts or security operatives guarding them specially. Although, in all honesty, security operatives are trying, the government must also put in more efforts to ensure security.”

He urged perpetrators of violence to desist from their evil ways and embrace repentance.

Also present were former Ondo State governor, Olusegun Mimiko; National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus; representatives of the Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi; CAC worldwide General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji; Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi of Love of Christ Generation Church; Pastor (Professor) Anthony Imevbore, who was the guest preacher, as well as other dignitaries, clerics and members of the CAC, Agbala Itura.

Speaking on the decision to remarry, he said: “I really thank God. It is the will of God and I can say God gave her to me. She has the spirit of God; she’s an educationist.”

At the formal presentation of Abiara’s new wife, Lady Evangelist Grace Olubunmi Abiara, whom he wedded on Thursday, March 22, 2018, she was presented with the mother of the Year award by the Good Women Association of the church.

As part of philanthropic efforts of the Abiara Divine Foundation, founded by Prophet Abiara, cash and material items, which included deep freezers, were distributed to persons to set up businesses.
