Chief Audu Ogbeh, Minister of Agriculture

THE Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh is expected to lead other stakeholders to brainstorm on the future of agriculture in Nigeria at the Agriculture Correspondents Association of Nigeria (ACAN), Agriculture Summit.

The Summit which will be an annual event will have its maiden edition kicked off on Tuesday this week.
The Chairman of ACAN, Mr John Oba expressed optimism that the Summit will proffer solutions on how to drive the agricultural sector using modern technologies.
Recall that at the inception of this administration, President Muhammadu Buhari hinted on his plans towards diversifying the economy from oil to non-oil.
This plan gave rise to the recent rice revolution in Nigeria which has greatly reduced the country’s import bill drastically.
The Summit which is timely will provide stakeholders in the agricultural sector opportunities to speak and deliberate on issues affecting the agricultural sector.
